Animation & VFX
For this project, I created a 3D animation using Blender, incorporating a free model and rig downloaded from the official Blender website. As this was a solo project I did everything from setting up the scene, animating the character, and adding in the visual effects. The animation showcases some character motion, the use of blender's cell fracture and physics systems, and subtle lighting effects to create atmosphere. While I’m proud of the smooth animation and bold visuals, I would have liked to extend the sequence with a few more dynamic shots if time and render capacity had allowed. A technical issue with black bars appearing in the final render was unresolved despite troubleshooting, and starting a new project wasn’t feasible due to time constraints. This experience helped me grow in workflow management and highlighted the importance of early testing and render previews. It was also my first time animating a fully rigged character in Blender and I really enjoyed that process and am excited to create more within the program.
